How to modify DNS information with the registrar Register.com

Register.com - http://www.register.com

  1. Type http://www.register.com into your browser.
  2. Click Sign In, located on the left side of the screen in the gray menu.
  3. Enter the user name and password information provided to you by Registrar.com upon the initial registration of your domain name.
  4. If you cannot locate this information, click the Forgot Your Password? option below the logon area.
  5. Click Domain Name Servers (DNS).
  6. You may have to scroll down the page to find this.
  7. Under section 1, select the appropriate check boxes to will delete your current DNS information.
  8. In section 2, replace any existing name server information with the Web Your Business DNS information:

Important: Make sure to include the "ns", "ns2", "ns3", and "ns4" at the beginning of the abovementioned nameserver addresses.

  1. Section 3 will inform you that you will need to confirm the changes via your listed email address.
  2. Click Submit.
  3. Click the button on the next screen, which will send an authorization email message to the listed email address.
  4. Follow the instructions in the email message to complete your changes.
  5. If you no longer have access to the address listed for your account, click the I don't have access to the emails listed above link.
